Computer Labs
Information Services directly supports six computer labs that can be used by UNO students, faculty and staff. We offer state of the art virtual desktops in all six of the rooms.
A user's desktop that is not installed in the client machine but comes from the server. The server side may host the desktop and applications in a shared environment or as individual virtual machines.
- Faster workstations. Our new zero clients start up and are ready to be used in only a few seconds.
- Less downtime. You can keep on working, while IS fixes a server that may be down.
- The latest software, with no waiting. All updates are done in the background, in the datacenter, before you log in; so there is no waiting to logon.

This lab features 5 iMacs which are dual booted with both Windows 7 and Mac OS. On the Windows side Adobe Creative Suite 6 is installed.
